Doctors have reportedly told Michael Schumacher's family that "only a miracle" will save the stricken Formula 1 legend.
The 45-year-old has been in an induced coma since he hit his head on a rock while skiing off-piste in the French Alps on December 29.
Schumacher's management stated last week that the sportsman remains in the waking-up phase, while also stressing that reports of his well-being should not be taken as fact unless it comes from the medical team at Grenoble University Hospital.
While there have been little updates of late regarding Schumacher's condition, reports have emerged claiming that the outlook for the seven-time champion looks bleak.
According to the Irish Independent, a German journalist said: "The family has been told that only a miracle can bring him back now. He is in a bad way but until the family issues a formal statement, we cannot publish anything."
Schumacher has undergone two operations on his brain following the accident.
