Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps has been arrested and charged with drink-driving.
The 29-year-old was pulled over by police after he was seen driving erratically during the early hours of Tuesday morning in Baltimore.
Phelps is understood to have been travelling at 84mph in a 45mph zone, as well as "crossing double lane lines".
The American, who was charged with driving under the influence back in 2004, was later released by the authorities.
An official police statement said: "Mr Phelps was identified as the driver by his driver's license and appeared to be under the influence. He was unable to perform satisfactorily a series of standard field sobriety tests."
Phelps has won a total of 22 Olympic medals, making him the most successful Olympian of all time.
