Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins has been discharged from hospital following a collision with a car in Lancashire yesterday.
The 32-year-old cyclist, who won a gold medal at the London Olympic Games in the summer, spent the night in hospital after he was knocked off his bike by a white Vauxhall Astra emerging from a petrol station yesterday.
Wiggins is thought to have suffered broken ribs in the accident but the cyclist is expected to make a full recovery after he was released from hospital this afternoon.
The female driver involved in the incident was not hurt and is reportedly due to be questioned by police today.
