Nottingham Forest's Dexter Blackstock suspended by FA over betting offences

Nottingham Forest forward Dexter Blackstock is suspended from football for three months by the Football Association.

Nottingham Forest forward Dexter Blackstock has been suspended from football for three months by the Football Association after he admitted multiple breaches of betting misconduct.

The 27-year-old was charged with the offences last month and has now been suspended "from all football activity" for three months, as well as being handed a £60,000 fine.

Blackstock's suspension has been postponed until May 31, 2016 but will be immediately enforced should he breach the FA's betting rules between now and then.

He has not played since December after sustaining a serious knee injury during a loan spell with Leeds United.
