Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that he will pay for a new set of shirts for his players after they donated them to their supporters.
The team threw their shirts into the travelling crowd following their 2-1 win over Southampton at St Mary's yesterday.
"I have told them that I will pay for new shirts," ESPN quotes Villas-Boas as saying. "It was an important gesture for the supporters, so I have no problem with what the players did."
Meanwhile, two fans got into a tug-of-war over goalkeeper Brad Friedel's shirt.
