West Ham United confirm that a 35-year-old supporter who was stabbed at White Hart Lane on Sunday has been released from hospital.

West Ham United have confirmed that a supporter who was stabbed on White Hart Lane before Sunday's Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur has been discharged from hospital.

The man sustained a stab wound to the abdomen at approximately 3pm on Sunday before being reported to be in a stable condition later that night.

In a club statement today, West Ham said: "The 35-year-old man sustained a stab wound to the abdomen at approximately 3pm on Sunday in White Hart Lane at the junction with Tottenham High Road.

"London's Air Ambulance attended and the man was taken to an east London hospital by ambulance. The club would like to wish the supporter concerned a continued speedy recovery."

West Ham lost the game 4-1 to slip four points behind the top four.
