Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris paid his respects to the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Nice by observing a minute's silence in a ceremony held at the Promenade des Anglais on Monday.
The France team captain joined crowds of people at the site where 31-year-old suspect Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel killed 84 and injured more than 300 when he drove a truck straight into revellers on Bastille Day.
Lloris, who has not yet begun pre-season with Spurs following his participation at Euro 2016, attended the ceremony with his wife Marine.
According to The Mirror, some mourners spat on the spot where the attacker was shot dead by police, while others threw rubbish.
The tragedy occurred eight months after 130 people were killed by terrorists in Paris.
