Sunderland defender Wes Brown has shown off his cooking skills by appearing on ITV's Who's Doing The Dishes.

The show, which is hosted by Brian McFadden, involves four diners attending five dinner parties hosted by a celebrity, whose identity is kept secret.

In the latest episode, Brown is one of the mystery star guests to cook a three-course meal for the diners, who also received a tour around the footballer's luxurious home.

Brown opted to prepare two types of bruschetta for starter, Jamaican jerk chicken with rice and peas for main and gingerbread men with ice cream for dessert.

When speaking about his main dish, Brown told the cameras: "My mum cooks this all the time, but don't worry mum, this isn't your recipe."

Meanwhile, on the pitch, Sunderland are yet to win a game in the Premier League this season following one defeat and three draws.
