Former American ice hockey star Caitlin Cahow has said that she had a "wonderful" time in Sochi.
The 28-year-old, who is openly gay and retired from the sport in 2013, was part of the US delegation sent to the Russian city for the opening ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
"Everyone was wonderful," she told The AP. "The Olympics are humbling every time you go.
"It doesn't matter what your role is because you realise you're part of a global event."
Cahow won a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics and silver in Vancouver four years later.
