West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has admitted that modelling for Alexander Wang's H&M fashion campaign was a "bit surreal".
The 25-year-old, who has signed up to agency Select Models, was picked ahead of 200 other candidates to front the campaign.
"I obviously had heard of Alexander Wang but until I'm walked on set I didn't realise how big this campaign was," Carroll told Vogue. "I was being told that everyone who was working on the campaign was fashion royalty - the world's top stylists, hairdressers and photographers were all there.
"All the other models were top supermodels who were really friendly and made me welcome. It was all a bit surreal to be honest."
Carroll has been out of action for the Hammers since suffering ankle ligament damage during pre-season.
