Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez added to a couple's golden wedding anniversary celebrations by handing them FA Cup final tickets.
Alan and Rita Winstanley, who have been Latics supporters for the last 60 years, were unable to witness the North West outfit book a place in the final at Wembley with a 2-0 victory over Millwall due to reaching the milestone.
Despite missing out on semi-final seats, Martinez surprised the couple at their home with tickets for the final against Manchester City at Wembley on May 11.
"Alan and Rita have all their lives been surrounding Wigan Athletic and that's a phenomenal story," said Martinez. "They are special people and we can't let them down."
Alan and Rita, who are both in their 70s, first met while watching Wigan in the 1950s.
