England footballer Wayne Rooney has won his first race as a horse owner this evening.
Rooney, 26, began to purchase racehorses recently and Pippy delivered his first win at Wolverhampton.
The two-year-old colt, who ended his first two races in last place, landed a seven-furlong nursery with Richard Kingscote on board.
Pippy was Rooney's third horse racing investment and reportedly cost the Manchester United frontman around £63,000.
