Kauto Star ashes to rest at Kempton Park

The ashes of two-time Gold Cup winner Kauto Star will rest underneath his statue at Kempton Park.

Clive Smith, the owner of Kauto Star, has revealed that the two-time Gold Cup winner's ashes will rest under his statue at Kempton Park.

The legendary racehorse was put down last week after a fall at the Berkshire stables of rider Laura Collett.

Smith told BBC Somerset that there are two boxes of ashes, while he may rest some at his home.

Kauto Star, who won the King George VI Chase on five occasions, switched to dressage in 2012 after retiring from horse racing.
