Odds-on favourite Sprinter Sacre stormed to victory in the Melling Chase at Aintree by four-and-a-half lengths.
The Nicky Henderson-trained horse, who has been dubbed the National Hunt's Frankel, headed into the race on the back of eight unbeaten outings.
Cue Card was the favourite's biggest challenger, but the Cheltenham Ryanair Chase winner could only muster second place.
Sprinter Sacre also won the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham by 19 lengths.
