Anna Watkins wants to continue her London 2012 gold-medal winning partnership with Katherine Grainger, if she returns to rowing.
The 30-year-old sculler is taking a year-long break from the sport after announcing that she is expecting her first child.
Grainger, 37, is also enjoying a 12-month sabbatical and Watkins has revealed her desire to reunite with the four-time Olympic champion if they both opt to make comebacks.
"We know that we're lucky to have the amazing partnership that we've got," Watkins told BBC Sport.
"So if we're both around, it would be madness not to do the double together."
Watkins and Grainger are unbeaten in competitive action since forming their partnership in 2010.
