Leeds Rhinos earned the bragging rights in this afternoon's derby clash against Bradford Bulls, coming away with a 37-22 victory.
Playmaker Danny McGuire helped himself to a first-half hat-trick and scored a brace after the break to seal the fate of his side's bitter rivals at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.
Bradford had the lead at one point, with tries from Elliott Whitehead and Ben Jeffries putting them 12-6 to the good.
Matt Diskin stretched their advantage even further before the Rhinos hit back through McGuire to level the scores at 18-18 going into the break.
Kevin Sinfield picked out McGuire early into the second period to put the Rhinos back in front. The skipper was in fine from throughout, landed six conversions and a drop-goal for his team.
Bradford were wasteful in the latter stages, and were punished by a try from Carl Ablet before McGuire grabbed his fifth to seal the victory.
Elliot Kear went over at the death to pull one back for the home side, but it was no more than a consolation try.
