Shaun Wane: 'It was our worst performance'

Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane admits that his side put in their worst performance of the season after they were beaten by Leeds Rhinos in the Challenge Cup semi-finals.

Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane has admitted that his side put in their worst performance of the season as they were defeated by Leeds Rhinos in the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup.

The defending champions went down 39-28 at the Galpharm Stadium on Saturday as the Rhinos booked their place in next month's final.

"I said before the game the team that completes best would win and that's what happened," said Wane.

"It was our worst performance. We didn't turn up today. We've defended all year better than that.

"But take nothing way from Leeds. They wanted it more which to me is gutting. They've some real warriors in their team."

Huddersfield Giants take on Warrington Wolves in tomorrow's other semi-final.
