Joaquin Dominguez pens Edinburgh extension

Edinburgh centre Joaquin Dominguez signs a new contract with the club until the end of the season.

Edinburgh centre Joaquin Dominguez has extended his contract with the club until the end of the season.

The Argentine international, 26, was due to leave the Pro 12 side at the end of the calendar year after initially joining on trial in September.

"It's great news. I'm very happy," Dominguez told Edinburgh's official website. "I came to this club looking to make the most of this opportunity and stay long term so it's great to have achieved that goal.

"Since I started it's been examination after examination, to prove myself to the coaches, so I'm delighted to have secured my future here."

Dominguez has been capped by his country at junior level, though he is yet to break into the senior squad.
