Bill Pulver expects Australian rugby union to avoid investigation

Australian rugby union boss Bill Pulver is confident that his code will avoid being investigated for doping and match-fixing.

Australian rugby union boss Bill Pulver has revealed that the government have not looked into his code following the recent doping revelations.

The Australian Crime Commission announced last week that there is "widespread" cases of doping and match-fixing within sports across the country.

"At this point we've had no feedback in relation to rugby and I hope it stays that way," Pulver told Sportal. "I think we were proactive with our integrity unit back in 2010 but I just don't want to be complacent and we need to be even more rigorous going forward."

The ACC are thought to have already looked into six rugby league clubs in relation to the doping investigation.
