Scotland's Euan Murray questions whether Rugby World Cup matches should be played on a Sunday due to religious reasons.

Scotland prop Euan Murray has questioned whether Rugby World Cup matches should be played on a Sunday due to religious reasons.

The 31-year-old is a devout Christian and he has chosen to sit out his side's Pool B match against Argentina this weekend.

"I don't see why there have to be games on Sundays," said Murray. "I hope things will change in future."

If the Scots were to progress as runners-up in Pool B, Murray could miss their quarter-final and semi-final clashes due to scheduling.
