England's Charlotte Kerwood wins double trap shooting gold

England's Charlotte Kerwood claims gold in the women's double trap shooting event at the Commonwealth Games after winning a shoot-off with India's Shereyasi Singh.

Charlotte Kerwood has beaten India's Shereyasi Singh in the women's double trap shooting event to secure England's 18th gold medal of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The duo faced off in the gold-medal shoot-off, and it was the English shooter who came out on top this lunchtime with a score of 94, two ahead of the Indian.

Kerwood's England teammate Rachel Parish completed the podium after beating Canada's Cynthia Meyer in the third-place shoot-off for the bronze medal.

The 26-year-old also took part in the London Olympics two years ago, but missed out on a medal.
