Great Britain's Di Coates has expressed her 'disappointment' in failing to clinch a spot in the women's 10m air rifle SH1 final.
The 58-year-old, who was regarded as one of Britain's high hopes for a medal, started off brightly but slipped down to ninth place following a damaging round.
"I was going well until the last series and I blew it," said Coates. "I just didn't achieve it today, unfortunately.
"All you need is one bad shot and that's the end of it. It's disappointing but even more disappointing not to have been on top of the pile where I should have been. Some of my family have never seen me shoot before so it would have been nice to have done it for them."
British duo Karen Butler and Mandy Pankhurst were also unable to secure a place in the final after finishing 12th and 16th respectively.
