British swimmer Siobhan-Marie O'Connor has said that she is "over the moon" after securing the gold medal in the 4x100m medley relay at the World Swimming Championships in Russia.
O'Connor broke the world record along with Chris Walker-Hebborn, Adam Peaty and Fran Halsall in Kazan, finishing over 1.5s ahead of the United States quartet.
The 19-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I'm over the moon with the gold medal. It was one of the best races I've ever been part of. It was just an incredible feeling. Last year we had a great event at the Europeans, although I wasn't in the team unfortunately.
"We put a marker down and our world record didn't get ratified and then we saw it get beaten in the heats this week. It was our time! But to get that record back in the final and to win the gold is incredible.
"I've never been part of a team where it's felt this good. We've all been bouncing off each other and it's great to be a part of it."
O'Connor also won the bronze in the women's 200m medley at the championships.
