Team GB swimmer Holly Hibbott has insisted that she can do better than her performance in the women's 200m freestyle final at the European Games in Baku this afternoon.
The 15-year-old, who won gold in the 800m freestyle earlier this week, only managed a seventh-place finish in the 200m discipline today, ending the race more than four seconds off gold medallist Arina Openysheva.
Hibbott's performance left her considering her future in the event, but she believes that it has still been a successful Games for her.
"I'm a little bit disappointed. I know I can go faster than that but oh well. There's nothing I can do now really," she told Sports Mole.
"I'm not a sprinter so I'm definitely better suited to longer distances. As I get older I'll probably do less events and concentrate on those rather than doing a big programme.
"I'm pleased with how [Baku] has gone. I've just got the 4x200m left, so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully I can get a medal in that. It's definitely been a really good experience, staying in the village and sitting with loads of different athletes from different sports."
Hibbott also participated in the 400m freestyle event in Baku, coming home in fourth place.
