Nyree Kindred is not surprised that her final was tough after she claimed silver in the 100m backstroke.

Paralympics 100m backstroke silver medallist Nyree Kindred has admitted that she expected a tough final after she just missed out on gold.

Kindred also said that she hopes her medal will lift the rest of the swimming team in their respective finals tonight.

"I knew tonight would be tough," Kindred told Channel 4. "Tonight I was aiming to go as hard as I can and I can't ask for more.

"I think it's going to get everyone up and ready. We've got loads of guys in finals tonight so hopefully we'll get some more medals."

Kindree's silver was ParalympicsGB's first in the pool in London.
