Great Britain's Hannah Russell has sailed through to the women's 400m freestyle S12 final following a strong performance at the Aquatics Centre.
The Brit started off well but drifted into second place under Natali Pronina of Azerbaijan after the first 100m. However, she was able to edge ahead of her opponent on the fourth length and keep her nose in front.
With 200m left to swim, Russell managed to stretch her lead to an impressive 10m ahead of her opponents and finished just out of the world record with a time of 4:41.25.
Spain's Amaya Alonso recorded the second-fastest time of 4:53.07, while Pronina slipped back into fourth place.
