Rafael Nadal vows to be on best form against Novak Djokovic in French Open final

Rafael Nadal vows to be on top of his game when he takes on Novak Djokovic in the French Open final.

Defending champion Rafael Nadal has vowed to be on top form when he takes on Novak Djokovic in the French Open final this weekend.

The Spaniard breezed into the clash after beating Andy Murray 6-3 6-2 6-1 in less than two hours.

The 28-year-old will have the chance to lift his ninth title at Roland Garros, but believes that he will need to be at the top of his game to overcome Djokovic, who won the Italian Open title by defeating Nadal in the final last month.

"As a kid it my dream was to play here at Roland Garros, after 10 years of coming here to be playing in my ninth final is unbelievable I want to thank everyone," Nadal said on court after his semi-final win over Murray.

"[Djokovic] is an unbelievable opponent, it's going to be a big big challenge and I will have to be at my best to beat him. He will be full of confidence after winning in Rome but I think I am getting better day by day, I played some good stuff today so hopefully I can do that again."

Djokovic booked his place in the final by securing victory over Ernests Gulbis in four sets earlier today.
