Pablo Andujar caused a mini-shock at the Indian Wells Masters by beating 18th seed Florian Mayer in straight sets.
The pair exchanged breaks of serve early on before Andujar won four games in a row to take the first set.
Mayer had looked to be in control of the second set, after securing an early break and a 3-1 lead.
However, Andujar levelled the set at 3-3 and, after the next three games had gone with serve, the Spaniard broke in game 10 to earn a 6-2 6-4 win.
Despite being ranked 27 places below his opponent, Andujar also beat Mayer in the last 16 of last month's Mexican Open.
