Roger Federer: 'I'm pleased with my game despite Novak Djokovic defeat'

World number two Roger Federer insists that he is pleased with his game despite his defeat to Novak Djokovic at the 2015 US Open final.

US Open finalist Roger Federer has suggested that his game is in good shape despite losing to Novak Djokovic at Flushing Meadows this morning.

The 34-year-old was defeated 4-6 7-5 4-6 4-6, and the Swiss veteran has suggested that he can learn a lot from his rivalry with the world number one.

Speaking to ESPN, Federer said: "[The rivalry's] been a good one, maybe not so much tonight.

"It's always tough playing against one another, I think we walk away from it knowing more about our games and knowing more about ourselves really.

"I'm very pleased with where my game's at, it feels like it's moving in the right direction."

Federer's last Grand Slam victory came at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships.
