Greg Rusedski: 'Andy Murray needs time'

Greg Rusedski believes that Andy Murray must be given time before he returns to the top of his game.

Former British number one Greg Rusedski has claimed that Andy Murray needs time before he is back to his best.

Murray, 27, is still waiting for his first ATP title of the year after losing to Novak Djokovic in Sunday's Miami Open final.

However, Rusedski believes that people must be patient with the two-time Grand Slam champion if they want to see him succeed in the future.

"He needs to beat one of the big three because he hasn't beaten Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Djokovic for a while, but let's give him a little bit of time because he's had back surgery and it took him a little bit of time to recover from that," he told Sky Sports News.

Murray is scheduled to be back in action at the end of the month when he takes part in the BMW Open in Munich.
