Stanislas Wawrinka: "I'm happy to get through"

French Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka says that he is "happy to get through" in straight sets against Spain's Fernando Verdasco.

Stanislas Wawrinka has admitted that he is "happy to get through" to the fourth round at Wimbledon following his straight-sets win over Fernando Verdasco.

The French Open champion has made it past the third round just three times in his career prior to this year's event, and only once in his five most recent appearances at SW19.

"I'm happy to get through. The conditions were perfect. I played really well and I served really well," The Independent quotes the world number four as saying.

"I'm not thinking about [winning the tournament]. I'm thinking about my game, practising every day, and my next match. I will be ready for Monday."

Wawrinka, whose only quarter-final appearance at Wimbledon came last year, will face 16th seed David Goffin for a place in the last eight.
