Serena Williams says that she will have to be on top form against Agnieszka Radwanska if she is to clinch her fifth Wimbledon title.

Serena Williams has said that she is not underestimating the threat of Agnieszka Radwanska as the two prepare to meet in the Wimbledon final.

The American is looking to clinch her fifth title at SW19, but faces a tough test in the form of Radwanska, who has become the first Polish player of either gender to reach a Grand Slam final.

Williams said that Radwanska, the world number three, deserves to be ranked higher than her due to more consistent performances throughout the year.

"Agnieszka has had a better year than I have," said Williams. "She's been way more consistent than me. She's done really well, so she's ranked higher than me. She deserves to be.

"I have to go out there and fight for this. This is by no means going to be easy. Never, ever do I underestimate any opponent."

Williams struck a Wimbledon record of 24 aces in her semi-final against Victoria Azarenka, and said that her serve has matured with age.

"The older I get, the better I serve, and the more I like to hit aces," she added. "But in my whole career I've hit a lot of aces throughout tournaments. I don't know how it got better. I really don't know. It's not like I go home and I work on baskets and baskets of serves. Maybe it's a natural shot for me."

Victory for Williams would see her clinch her 14th Grand Slam title.
