Retired American short track speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno believes that Viktor Ahn is the best the sport has ever seen.
The 28-year-old Russian took his tally of gold medals at the 2014 Winter Olympics to three on Friday by winning the men's 500m and the 5,000m team relay.
Ahn, who became a Russian citizen in 2011, won three gold medals while representing South Korea at the 2006 Turin Games.
"He just shows he is the best guy in the world, definitely here," ESPN quotes Ohno as saying.
"He's got eight medals, six gold. Perhaps the best ever to put short track speedskates on. Yeah, I would say so."
Russia have won 26 medals in Sochi so far.
