Maxim Trankov lost for words to explain Olympic success

Russian figure skater Maxim Trankov says that it is "difficult to explain" the feeling he has at winning gold in the pairs event at the 2014 Sochi Games.

Maxim Trankov has said that he is lost for words to describe his feeling at winning the pairs figure skating event at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The 30-year-old and his partner Tatiana Volosozhar won gold for Russia ahead of their compatriots Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov.

"It's really difficult to explain," he told Russia Today.

"I guess you have to win in the Olympics to understand what it feels like. What's important is that we made it."

Russia have won 12 medals so far in Sochi.
