Lindsey Vonn leads USA to historic finish in Lake Louise World Cup

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn marks her return to the World Cup by leading the USA to an historic one-two-three finish in Lake Louise.

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn has marked her return to competition by leading the USA to an historic one-two-three finish at the Lake Louise World Cup over the weekend.

The 30-year-old, who is in a relationship with golfer Tiger Woods, claimed her first win on Saturday following a lengthy stint on the sidelines with a torn knee ligament, which she suffered in a crash early last year.

Vonn came first in the downhill event, but she failed to reach the top of the podium in the Super-G competition after coming second to Switzerland's Lara Gut on Sunday.

Vonn has won the World Cup big globe four times in her career.
