USA's Shani Davis frustrated by lack of medal

United States speed skater Shani Davis reveals that he was annoyed with his performance in the 1,000m speed skating event as he finished in eighth place.

United States speed skater Shani Davis has revealed that he was frustrated over his eighth-place finish in the 1,000m speed skating event in the Winter Olympics.

The 31-year-old was looking to win his third gold medal in a row in the event following his success in Turin and Vancouver, but he finished well outside the medals in Sochi.

He told reporters: "I don't know what's going on. I was skating hard, so hard. I was ready for it, man, like I was ready for this. I got my ass kicked."

Davis has won four Olympic medals during his career.
