Birmingham City draw with Blackburn Rovers at St Andrew's

Birmigham City twice come from behind to earn a point at home to Blackburn Rovers.

Demarai Gray has scored his second goal in two games to earn Birmingham City a 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers, firing the ball into the bottom corner to bring his side level for the second time in a thrilling second half at St Andrew's.

Matthew Kilgallon had given Blackburn a half-time lead with a powerful header from Craig Conway's corner after just eight minutes in a first half with few clear-cut chances.

Birmingham pushed for an equaliser at the beginning of the second half and went close through Clayton Donaldson, and their pressure finally paid off in the 64th minute, when Jonathan Grounds glanced David Cotterill's cross into the far corner.

However, they were level for just four minutes as Jordan Rhodes fired the ball into the back of the net after Darren Randolph spilled a Martin Olsson cross.

After Gray brought Birmingham level, both sides almost found a late winner as Ben Marshall forced Randolph into a smart save from close range for Blackburn, before Birmingham's Grounds almost beat Simon Eastwood with a curling shot.
