Burnley looking to bring in Benfica goalkeeper?

Benfica goalkeeper Carlos Joaquim dos Santos reportedly emerges as a potential transfer target for Burnley.

Burnley are reportedly looking to agree a deal with Benfica for goalkeeper Carlos Joaquim dos Santos.

While Nick Pope has regularly attracted interest from bigger Premier League sides, the financial implications of the coroanvirus pandemic make it unlikely that any interested teams will meet his asking price.

Nevertheless, according to The Sun, Sean Dyche is looking at bringing in further competition for the England international.

The 20-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut at Benfica, instead featuring for the club's Under-23s and 'B' sides.

Burnley already have Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Will Norris on their books, meaning that one of those players would need to be sold if the Clarets were to pursue a move for Dos Santos.
