Nuremberg stage comeback win against Hertha Berlin

Josip Drmic scores twice as Nuremberg get the better of Hertha Berlin 3-1 away from home in the Bundesliga.

Nuremberg have moved out of the Bundesliga relegation zone with a 3-1 comeback victory over Hertha Berlin away from home.

The hosts surged ahead as early as the fourth minute when Adrian Ramos headed home Ronny's cross from close range.

The Colombian striker had a good chance to double his tally seven minutes later, but Nuremberg goalkeeper Raphael Schafer made a fine save.

The visitors equalised in the 20th minute through Markus Feulner. Johannes van den Bergh failed to clear a cross properly and the ball fell to the 31-year-old German midfielder, who fired home from the edge of the Hertha penalty box.

However, the home side stepped up their game thereafter and could have made it 2-1 on 35 minutes had Ramos been more accurate with his shot from a good position.

Moments later Hajime Hosogai's shot was cleared off the line by Javier Pinola.

The first chance of the second half fell to visiting Nuremberg as Hiroshi Kiyotake tried his luck from distance, but his effort went narrowly over the crossbar.

The visitors then took the lead midway through the half through Josip Drmic, who tapped in with the aid of a deflection after Daniel Ginczek's shot had come back off the post.

Jos Luhukay's side thought that that they had equalised with two minutes of normal time left on the clock when Ramos turned in from just yards out after Ondrej Petrak had handled the ball off the line.

However, the goal was chalked off as Ramos was adjudged to be in an offside position when Ronny's shot came in.

Then deep into of injury time the visitors were awarded a penalty when Ginczek was brought down by Marcel Ndjeng inside the Hertha area, and Drmic made no mistake with the spot kick.
