Half-Time Report: Bradley Johnson fires Norwich City in front in East Anglian derby

Bradley Johnson's ninth goal of the season gives Norwich City the lead at half time in the East Anglian derby with Ipswich Town.

Bradley Johnson's goal has given Norwich City a 1-0 lead at half time in the East Anglian derby with Ipswich Town in the Championship.

Johnson gave the Canaries the lead on 24 minutes when he arrived to hammer home Lewis Grabban's cutback for his ninth goal of the campaign.

The visiting Tractor Boys almost restored parity through Freddie Sears, but the former West Ham United youngster was denied by a smart save from Norwich keeper John Ruddy.

Sears went close again after the half-hour mark, but Ruddy kept his concentration to get behind the striker's powerful effort from range.

Wes Hoolahan fired a retort for Norwich, but his dipping 25-yard effort was well held by Bartosz Bialkowski as Ipswich kept the deficit at one.
