The Detroit Lions have confirmed that they have placed defensive tackle Haloti Ngata on the non-football injury list.
The 31-year-old moved to the NFC North side in the off-season in a trade deal from the Baltimore Ravens.
However, Ngata will miss a period of his side's training camp in preparation for the 2015 season after sustaining a hamstring injury, and as a result he has been placed on the club's NFI list.
The defensive tackle can be removed from the list at any time ahead of the 2015 season.
