Andre Johnson has revealed that he is optimistic of playing against the Seattle Seahawks this weekend.
The Houston Texans wide receiver has a bruised shin, missing practice earlier this week.
The 32-year-old told reporters: "Right now, I feel like I'll play. It's a process still. Going out today and running routes and stuff, I guess when you have a bruise like that, a bad bruise like that, when you're just sitting around, I think when you get up and move around a little bit, it kind of helps it out and loosens it up.
"I felt a little better. I've been feeling better day-by-day. Like I said, running routes and stuff today helped out a little bit. Hopefully, it will just keep getting better day-by-day.
"I don't think I've done anything to make it worse. Just when I was out there running today, I didn't feel like I was [making it worse]. The first thing they told me was to just be smart about it and I wasn't going to do anything if I felt like it was making me feel any worse."
Johnson has recorded 258 receiving yards so far this season.
