The Indianapolis Colts have confirmed the signing of veteran linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, who played every regular season game for the Cleveland Browns last season.
Colts general manager Ryan Grigson said that Jackson would become a strong member of the first team and was looking forward to seeing the player's leadership skills on the pitch.
"We are pleased to announce the signing of inside linebacker D'Qwell Jackson," Grigson told the club's official website. "He is a team-first guy that has been a very consistent producer on the field. The tempo, energy and determination he plays with are right up there with the best in this league.
"He brings a welcome element of experience and natural leadership to our team and we are excited to add him to the strong nucleus of linebackers we currently have on our roster."
Jackson managed 141 combined tackles last season for the Browns.
