Miami Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve list after suffering an ACL injury.
The Dolphins made the announcement on Tuesday morning after Moreno played in just three games this season, with his last appearance coming against the Green Bay Packers in the 27-24 loss on Sunday.
Moreno rushed for 10 yards on six carries on Sunday but he is ranked second in the team in carries with 31 and rushing yards of 148.
However, after undergoing knee surgery in the summer, the Dolphins running back also suffered an elbow injury which kept him out for two games and he will now miss the remainder of the campaign.
Starting running back Lamar Miller will now carry a bigger load, with the Dolphins scheduled to play the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday.
