The New Orleans Saints have signed experienced defensive tackle Kevin Williams on a one-year deal.
Williams turned out for the Seattle Seahawks last season, where he featured in 16 games and was able to provide important cover for the injured Brandon Mebane.
The deal comes at a time when the Saints find themselves in the throes of an off-season injury dilemma, with Williams potentially adding invaluable experience having featured in 13 NFL seasons so far in his career.
Williams has played in 187 career games with 179 starts, while also having notched 495 tackles, 63 sacks and 68 passes defensed.
