New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr has been added to the Pro Bowl roster, following Calvin Johnson's decision to pull out through injury.
Having posted one of the best rookie seasons by a wideout in NFL history, there were calls for the 22-year-old to be included from the beginning anyway.
Following Johnson's omission, Beckham will now participate in the game, to be played on January 25 at Super Bowl hosting University of Phoenix Stadium.
With his place confirmed, Beckham told the New York Daily News: "Oh yes, it is definitely awesome.
"It is something that means a lot to me, and I am definitely going to cherish the moment. I'm very excited to be going to the Pro Bowl."
In 13 appearances, Beckham caught 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns, breaking Giants franchise records for a rookie in all three categories.
