Geno Smith has said that he is not concerned about reports that he failed to impress a number of NFL teams ahead of last month's draft.
The quarterback was expected to be a high pick in the draft, but had to wait until the second round to be selected by the New York Jets with the 39th overall pick.
The 22-year-old USA Today: "I don't worry about what people say, my skin is pretty thick. I've never been in trouble.
"I got strong remarks from all the teams I visited with. I couldn't care less what's coming out in the media because I know what's true.
"Parts of the draft experience were tough, but not all of it. With that entire process, you can see where some things went wrong."
Last week, Smith fired his agents for not ensuring that he was drafted in the first round.
