Blake Bortles aims for above average Combine

Draft prospect Blake Bortles admits that he has been studying previous Combine results in a bid to be above average at this year's event.

Blake Bortles has said that he is aiming to be above average in every category at the NFL Scouting Combine.

The former Central Florida quarterback, who is one of the highest-rated passers in this year's Draft class, has been studying Combine results from previous years in preparation for his workouts next week.

Bortles told the Orlando Sentinel: "I'm not the fastest guy or I won't jump the highest or the furthest or any of that.

"But I've got that sheet, and my goal is to be above that [average] in every single category."

The Combine gets underway in Indianapolis on Thursday.
