Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has promised to keep working hard in order to tie down the club's starting spot ahead of Michael Vicks.
Foles will start Thursday night's pre-season match against the Carolina Panthers looking to respond to Vick's impressive showing against the New England Patriots.
"I just need to go out there and play," Foles told the franchise's official website. "I need to go out there and execute the offense and put points on the board.
"That's always been the ultimate goal. Just learn from the last game and move forward, just take these practices and get better. It's the same way I've approached everything I've always done. I'm not changing anything.
"I'm going to keep doing the things that I've done my whole life that got me here, and that is just work as hard as I possibly can and take it one play a time."
Foles completed 161 of 265 attempts in 2012, throwing for 1,699 yards in his rookie season.
