San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcolm Floyd has revealed that his recovery from a spinal disc injury he suffered in September is going well.
Floyd was unable to put a date on his recovery, but said that his return to running was a big step along the way to returning to action after six months out.
"It's not quite there yet, but it's getting there," NFL.com quotes Floyd as saying. "There's really no timetable. It's pretty much just basing it on how I am and how well I feel. There's still a little discomfort in [the neck], but it's a lot better.
"I'm getting there. It just felt good to start running again and becoming more active. I'm feeling a lot better as far as that goes."
Floyd has played for the Chargers since being drafted in 2004.
